Our furniture is almost all made to our specifications out of
reclaimed teak.

Reclaimed teak in this instance is teak which has been previously
used in buildings in Thailand, such as houses, village Salas
(public open-sided halls), as well as Salas in old Thai temples.

The wood itself is old but the design and construction are new.

The teak is reshaped according to its new use, but character giving
features (marks, separations, indentations) are not deliberately removed.

The Nakashima butterfly joint is used in some instances to accentuate
separations in the wood, as well as for decorative purposes.
